A tripel, as solid as a castle. A full bodied beer, brewed with Belgian hops, to enjoy quietly, with a powerful, distinctive flavour: flowery, hop bitterness and soft alcohol.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, sugar, hops, yeast, antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2011 Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown with a small light brown creamy head that disappeared very quickly and had fair lacing. The aroma was of nutty dark malts and a horse blanket scented yeast with notes of brown sugar, raisons and dried fruit. It tasted sweet, rich and malty with hints of brown sugar at the start but matured into a nice sweet-sour yeasty flavor with notes of dried fruit at the end that left the flavor lasting an average duration on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was medium in body and nice and creamy in texture. Overall a very interesting brew. Sweet yet bold in flavor, which did a great job of concealing the high alcohol content. One definitely worth trying again.

Solid Tripel, but lacks complexity and after some time bubble gum aroma gets quite annoying. Otherwise, decent maltiness, some fruits mostly orange, light spices, bubble gum. Mostly sweet with light bitterness and light tartness.. Refreshing and enjoyable, but would prefer other Tripels

bottle sample from a while back, poured a deeper golden clear colour with a white head, caramel sweetness, sweet overriped fruits, banana, honey, boozy alcohol finish in the back, unpleasant heavy finish.

I don’t see the point of getting this kind of beers to 11% abv, unless the guys who usually drink it make it a pride... I already find Westmalle would better be a little less boozier. This is hugely boozy.

Dark reddish colour with tiny golden/off-white head. Aroma of herbs, malts, some fruits, similar are flavours, with hoppy notes, low carbonation, evident alcoholic notes, especially in finish.

Strong blond beer. Fine aroma and taste. Good overall. I think its best served with some smoked cheese.
