Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Deep copper color with no head. Wonderful aroma of honey, flowers and a touch of spices. Sweet and spiced flavour of dark and strong honey, lasting honey aftertaste. Probably the best mead I had so far.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear nutty brown. Brown sugar and molasses in the nose, somewhat oxidized overripe fruit - sultanas. But also a little greasy smell. Solid body, marzipan, tobacco, again this overripe fruitiness. Warming alcohol finish. Lovely. 111011
