Bottle: Quite watery for a Weizen, leaves a dissappointing neutral feeling on the palate. Drinakable but not recomendable.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo o ladnej piance lecz szybko opadajacej. Jak na hefeweizena jest to mala piana. Metnosci srednio. Zloto miedziana barwa. W aromacie glownie gozdziki i mus jablkowy. W smaku dochodza pieczone banany, jakby nalesniki z jablkami i te gozdziki. Ogolnie sredni jednak pszeniczniak mimo wyrazistych dla mnie aromatow i smakow.

330 ml bottle bought at Berliner German Bar & Restaurant in Langham Place, Mongkok.

Murky straw honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Two and a half finger head with soapy white foam which last for 2 minutes; Poor sticky lacing and very fizzy carbonation; Aroma of very light malt, with strong banana, light vanilla, light wheat, light sugar, very light spices, yeast, thin lemon and thin grass; Very light sweet taste of very light malt, with wet cardboard, strong metallic, light wheat, faint tartness, wood, very light phenolic, strong muddy yeast, lemon, very low bitter hops and strong straw; Light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is muddy strawy yeast with metallic all the way. Malt and wheat is very light, very soapy, no fruity esters, no spicyness, no hops. Bad!… Hoppiness is thin lemon and thin grassy in nose, strong straw in taste. Bitterness is very low for an abrupt, very low astringent non-finish; Slightly dry after taste. Soapy and muddy to mouth.

Comments: A really poor Hefeweiss reminded me of Höss Weisser-Hirsch, only worse - murky looks, aroma that fades very quickly, poor malts and wheat, with metallic and muddy yeast finish. Drain pours!

19.08.2015, tap @ Kælderkold:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is neutral, strange and slightly sour-ish, yeast, old hay, cereal, dough, grass, paper, wheat. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, cardboard, wheat, weeds, hay, cereal, yeast. Little bitterness, harsh grainy mouthfeel. Crap!

Klassisches Hefe ohne große Höhepunkte, dafür aber mit ordentlich Perlung, etwas Hefe, ein wenig Frucht und einem Schuss Getreidigkeit. Nichts Besonderes eben.

The beer has got a cloudy golden-amber colour with a steady head and smooth body. High carbonation. Aroma of yeast and fruit salad. Taste of intense yeast, wheat, bread, fruit salad and bananas. Yeasty finish. Average one.

On tap @ La Cervrtica. This is a cloudy looking golden slightly yellow one with a head the barkeep really put a heck of a lot of effort in producing and reducing. Smells like a heffe. Wheat sweetness, that good banana yeast and tones of oranges. It’s quite sweet and orangy in the taste also. Above average on the carbonation and light oily in the mouth. Definitely wheat sweet, kinda herbal grassy in a way and it has tones of both "knott" and oranges. An non complicated lightdrinkable heffe. 04.08.2014

Scrapersnbeer (1530) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 14, 2014
Served at an Italian place in Garmisch. Usual strong notes of banana and sweet spices, perhaps exaggerated by the setting. Dark hazy yellow, had to taste to make sure I didn’t get the dunkel version. Sweet fruity taste, mildly spicey, although as with many hefes the taste does hold up to the aroma. Medium bodied, creamy feel with some zest and kick.
