3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 beer4eternity (196) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 9, 2012
From the Okere Falls Store beergarden Clear golden yellow hue, nice but quickly diminishing white fluffy head. Aroma is light malty, hay, grass, straw, bread. Tastes moderately sweet and bitter with a long duration. Medium body, light carbonation, kind of lightly oily texture but the dry crisp finish wipes it away quickly. Good hot day beer.

50cl. bottle from a local beer retailer. It pours a not entirely clear pale golden liquid with a small-medium white head that lasts somehow throughout the beer but leaves no lacing. The aroma is fresh, with notes both of malts and hops: straw, hay, a little corn, grass, grains. A little light, but well-balanced. It tastes likewise, but intenser, with some citrusy hints and a nice malty sweet touch. It is low-medium in sweetness and bitterness. In the mouth it feels pleasant, smooth and quite oily, mildly carbonated, with a medium body and a long dry bitter finish, with an aftertaste of straw, grains and grass. Presentation is quite nice for a simple but nice, refreshing and easy-to-drink lager.
