This is exactly what I want when in the mood for a German pils. Very clean, grassy aroma. Bready, malty flavor with the perfect amount of hop bitternes to really round off the beer nicely, but not make the aftertaste too bitter or sharp. I will definitely have this again.

jmuhops (669) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - SEP 27, 2007
Pours clear gold with a one finger head and good effervescence. Grainy, grassy, lightly citrusy aroma. A little breadiness. Sweet grains and lemon in the flavor, with a nice drying hoppiness on the finish. Surprisingly creamy mouthfeel. Great Pils.

Braudog (6312) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 15, 2007
500ml; Poured very, very light yellow, initially effervescent, but suddenlystill, with just a thin fizz of a head. Very light aroma; what there is is starchy, lightlycorny. Light and crisp, with just a shadow of a corn-starchy finish. I’m surprised this scores as highly as it does ... while unoffensive and well balanced, I frankly find it a bit flat and uninspired. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 5, 2007
Very pale yellow with lively carbonation and a tall sudsy head, this lager has an aroma of warm bread, wet grasses, lemon, and flowers. The flavor is bready and grainy with grassy hops and a touch of lemon tartnes. If this had a crisper or dryer finish or was heavier handed with the hops, I’d like it a bunch more, but it still makes for a fine sessionable beer.

Kinz (3737) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Medium to light gold, quite fizzy, slight head. Aroma of bread and wet hay. Flavor was decent, towards the bready side, with some grassy and floral hops underlying things. Not as crisp as I prefer, but not a bad brew either.

I poured the golden straw beer into my 50 cl glass and admired the slight head that was building with a ton of bubbles beneath it. The aroma was faint, but the first taste revealed a hoppy light bodied style with an element of tartness. This was one of the better Pils I had tasted recently as I was researching beers for an Oktoberfest dinner I am creating this Fall by tasting them all.
