Koelschtrinker (8491) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011

Hazy - murky medium amber color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, nutty, dusty, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110318]

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s an unclear one, almost brown in color and with a finger-thick soon diminishing off-white head. A quite uninteresting blend of banana and caramel in the aroma, some cloves chiming in. The flavor has caramel in the back, with banana and cloves up front. Not much bitterness detected neither in the initial flavor nor in the end. Medium body, a bit low on carbonation for the style, not that I’m rating to style. 110318

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - NOV 30, 2010
500 ml bottle in Germany. pours a nice dark cloudly hazy brown. Off set with a nice tan head. Aroma is roasted yeast, bananas, bubblegum and malts. Tastes of roasted bananas, malts and cream. The mouth feel is a bit carby but gets better if you let it sit. Palate is sour mash but smooth. Very nice.

Geiserich (2561) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUN 26, 2010
Bottle: Dark brown color, off-white creamy head. Wheaty, light yeasty aroma. Only some hints of dark fruits and toffee. Flavor is a bit more intensive. Wheat cherries, some notes of roasted malt. Not too complex.
