[Bottled] Cloudy pale amber, brief head. papery oxidized aroma. Pleasant soft maltiness and decent body, but cardboard dominates heavily. No bitterness.

Sampled at our own little ’Country Festival’ during Københavnske Øldage 2006.
Pours slightly hazy golden and a fine white head. Infected sourish aroma with cellar characters of wet wood - disgusting! Sweet and sweaty in the flavor with a "warm" sensation. Undrinkable!

Above average lager, not much head, but good golden color but nothing special. A bit bitter in the finish.

Low alcohol swill, not worth a try in my opinion. Just another crappy pale lager to throw on the pile. Smelled like wet dog and raw steel. Taste wasn’t much better.

A friend of mine that owns a beer store gave me this beer a couple of weeks ago.
Pours a nice amber body, but where is the head? It’s flat as a flee? Has a sweet malty flavor, a bit toasty with a hint of honey. This Georgia Lager…. Republic of, has a tangy lemon bitterness in the finish. Overall… I poured the beer out after I sampled a few ounces… it was simply too flat and shitty!

Deep gold colour; dense, fine yellow head, very unstable. Outspoken grainy nose, chalk poultice, very faint fruit-acid aroma. Mostly malty-grainy taste, but accompagnied by a roasted-burning taste & sensation, bit cornflakes-like. There is a metallic hopbitterness, but rather late to reveal itself, neither very longlasting. Light to medium bodied, bit (coffee)creamy, milky texture. A rather raw, rustic lager. It’s sweeter than the roasted flavour and the metallic taint allow. I found it unbalanced, really.

Thanks to Envane for this trade!!! This poured out with a dark yellow color and some haze under a large eggshell white head. The aroma was very subdued, but had a balance of malt and hops that was not unpleasant. The flavor was again in balance with the malt and hops and it went to a lightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel was unusual for a Pilsner. This was a medium body brew with a very creamy mouthfeel. There was a slight aftertaste that was sweet corn, roasted on the grill, with lots of butter. Interesting beer.

Light brown in color or maybe it's dark brown/orange.Small white head that actually had a good hangtime.Mild malt aroma with a decent hop and maybe a little lemon hint but very faint at best.Fairly thin feel, and Envane hit it on the head when he said it has a toast like flavor.Mildly malty and a decent hop presence that is good enough to make this brew quite interesting. It finishes up quite clean with just a mild hop after taste. It's not a brew that is outstanding but it does have some nice qualities to it that make it quite drinkable and worth trying again. Thanks to Envane for sending this brew my way.

I am rating "Kazbegi Lager", the third bottle from left in the picture. Orange colour with an aroma of toast(!). Taste is similarly toasty(!), with enough hops to round things out. Weird beer, but not unenjoyable.
