A lightly hazed dark amber ale with a thick collapsing off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, lightly cardboardy and dryish. In mouth, a rather nutty ale, pleasant, malty, a bit short in mouth, with light hopping. Not abd. From Capflu, Dec. 2006.

(Bottle) Found this one at the BC Liquor Store in Langford; this hasn’t been a beer I’ve found in downtown Victoria. Pours a light amber body with a frothy white head. Nose is caramel with a peachiness. The flavour was somewhat thin, with a very mild hop bitterness and an over malted base.

Finally got around to trying the KB pale. While I like Black Bear and their Imperial Lager, I was most dissapointed by their Honey Brown Lager and now by this Pale Ale. Bottle: Poured a copper with medium foamy off white head that laced well. Aroma was initially fruity caramel with an earthy malt aroma taking over. Flavour was pretty malty with a limp bitterness in the finish. Will not bother with this one again...

Amber and enough hop presence to be called a pale ale but pretty plain. Some sweetness and caramel ends with a crisp finish.

Yet another boring BC Pale Ale, no worse or better than any of the others that are all too easy to find. An entry level beer, not objectionable, nothing you would remember either.

Bright amber colour. The aroma is earthy, caramelly. There is a fruity-hoppy character with a subtle caramel accent. Clean, mild finish.
