3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
.3 lite pour at the brewery. Bright copper color, with a creamy off-white head. Nose is lightly hoppy, but emphasizes the malty tones in spite of the brewery’s deScription. The taste matches the nose. Slightly creamy mouthfeel results in a beer that is obviously crafted with great skill and care, but isn’t exactly to my taste.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
One of my least favorite of the sampler I tried. More hop bitterness than the rest of the lineup, but its still pretty understated. The alt characteristics are a bit too sweet.

On tap at the brewery. Comes a clear reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and floral. Taste is malt, grain, citrus, and floral. Interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Aroma of faint caramel, biscuity, toasty malts, showing some sweet, floral and citric hop with suggestions of orange and pine. Medium-dark copper in color with a very slight, fading head. Flavor profile is very nicely balanced between the toasty, lightly sweet, brown sugary malts, fruity, floral hops and a moderate dosage of spicy hop bitterness, finishing clean and lightly resinous. Fairly low in effervescence with a lightly oily, smooth feel and a medium body. Very nice hybrid style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
1/2 liter Willebecher draft at the brewery tap room in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a mostly clear copper brown with a 1 inch off white head. The aroma is fresh grass, earthy hop and grain cereal malt. The taste is the cereal grain upfront, mineral and the clear bright grass hay hops. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and the bright mineral sweet-grass hop finish. Well made, though not 100% my sort of thing. A bit too much sweetness.
