COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Resignation Recipe Brewed In Collaboration with Redhook. A toast lager with notes of chocolate and coffee. Unlike a heavy porter or a stout it’s amazingly light, crispy, and sessionable. KCCO Black is a delicious misfit.

Bottle from a swap. Black pour, thick beige head. Aroma is malt and caramel. A little sweet, no bitter, finish slightly sour. Taste - there isn’t any - the malt and caramel in the aroma are watered down. Very bland and boring.

Pretty decent schwarz beer. Light bodied.. But some nice fruity and coffee notes going on in the flavor and aromas. Decent.

Clear deep mahogany with an off white head. Aroma roasty, toasty, sweet, with hints of fruit. Taste roasty and light, with sweet and toasty notes towards end of palate. Nice and fairly easy drinking.

Faint cocoa and coffee aroma. Lifeless black color w/ decent head. Mouthfeel is thin.. bitter, taste is simple and same as aroma.. dark chocolate and coffee. Its not bad.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. This would have been much better with a heavier body and a more defined taste. Things seemed a bit diluted.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2014 Nice lager, but not an everyday beer. It has the taste of a good lager, but the aftertaste is a little heavy on a cereal grainy side. Did not get a chance to pour to notice color or head. Not a bad beer.
