A Resignation Recipe Brewed In Collaboration with Redhook. A toast lager with notes of chocolate and coffee. Unlike a heavy porter or a stout it’s amazingly light, crispy, and sessionable. KCCO Black is a delicious misfit.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, near black with a frothy tan head; lasting on the sides. Smells of roasted malt, coffee, light fruit and must. Flavor is roasted malt, light coffee, fruit, and chocolate. Light bodied- crisp, dry finish.

I love me some kcco nice work on making a beer with the same name. 12oz bottle pours out brown topped with a small sand head. Nose is grain light roast notes and some grassy hops. Taste is more of the light roast malts and a light hop.

Brown color with small compact head. Fruity, caramelly, moderately sweet, low bitterness, a bit toasty in the final.

Color is just a boring brown. Taste is not bad for a low level lager. Okay, but not something needed again. Scent is nice and malty sweet. Bottle

A bit watery and not very big on flavors. Wouldn't get it again. ---Rated via BeerBuddy for iPhone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a nice medium brown with ruby highlight’s. a thin off white head that dissipated quickly. aroma was a pleasant sweet maltiness, hint’s of bread, caramel, chocolate and coffee. there was little to no hop aroma. taste was a delicious sweet malty, toasted bready, caramel with hint’s of toasted chocolate and coffee. very little floral hop flavor. a medium lite body that finished crisp, clean and dry. no funky aroma’s or off flavors. a very refreshing dark beer.

Rated on 6-18-2015. This bottled beer pours a small smooth tan head that mostly diminishes, transparent reddish brown body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and sweet. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this is a light bodied beer.

Nice frothy head dissipates to white dusting of froth. Dark brown appearance. Strong coffee notes on nose, full round mouthfeel. Straw aftertaste with a little Cascade or Chinook bitterness. A really fine black lager!

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2015 Black. Malty, almost like extract. Smells smoky. Kinda of smoky....but light body. Thx TJ. Tasted at Mexi-Joes bachelor party.

Dark body, feint head. The aroma is indeed a toasty roastyness, with a touch of barley flake and perhaps some rough coffee bean notes. The body is toasty and smooth, with some coffee bean character and touch of vegetal. Solid, easy-drinking stuff overall.
