A Resignation Recipe Brewed In Collaboration with Redhook. A toast lager with notes of chocolate and coffee. Unlike a heavy porter or a stout it’s amazingly light, crispy, and sessionable. KCCO Black is a delicious misfit.

Pretty dark from the bottle. Has a gentile aroma. First taste is fairly mild, just the way I like my dark beers. Yes, more like a dark lager fer sure. Easy fun and enjoyable. I like this, its mild and well behaved. Never in yer face. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy and drink a sixer of this. Should have purchased a few more of these. Thank you Resignation for such a like able beer. Good example of a what a friendly dark beer should be.

Sweetness I'm a bottle. Nice coffee and chocolate taste maybe a hint of vanilla. Smells like coffee. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle dated May 2014. Poured near black but clear reddish-brown, topped by a very good tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma: a bit dank, vegetal and hop dominated -- clearly off style. Flavor: better and truer to style, but lacks the level of dark roasted grain expected. Feel: a bit thin even for style. O: OK, excepting aroma, but a notch below average overall.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark brown with a full beige rim head, dots and sheets of lace. Taste is mild toasted malt with a very light hint of coffee. Taste moves through the palate without change on the way to a slightly bittered finish. An underwhelming brew.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had over facebook chat. It pours very dark and has red highlights. A tan head clings to the glass. Some roast and nuts in the aroma and they are tasted. Chocolate and fruit are light but nice. Some earth and the finish is raspberry chocolate syrup. This is better than expected and is pretty good.

with Strykzone on Fxcebook Chat. Pours a dark red brown with a small light tan head. Nose of chocolate and nuts. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. . Flavor is somewhat sweet chocolate and finishes earthy. Maybe not to style but very tasty and easy drinking.

10/18/14. 12oz bottle from Warehouse. Dark brown pour, almost black, under a short-lived khaki head with very mild lacing. The aroma shows roast, very mild YMCA free coffee, nutty, a touch of acidity. Light acidity in the flavor as well, coffee, nuttiness, mild chocolate, a hint at fruitiness. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle from Steve. Thanks! Bottle is dated June 21 14. Pours a clear amber-brown with a small beige head. Notes of toast, chocolate, roast, tobacco, earth, and a hint of dark fruit. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a toasty, roasty, semi-sweet mouthfeel. Good black lager.
