A clean and crisp lager with notes of honey and biscuit. The grain bill adds a beautiful gold hue and full flavor. The Gold Lager proves pilsner style lagers can be full flavored.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle purchased at Wegmans. Decent lager, has a bit of a wheat aroma and flavor.

Draft. Pours a clear gold color with a 1/2 thick white head that settles to a film leaving some nice lacing. Aroma of malt and bread/biscuit. Medium-light body, fairly sweet bready taste. Finish is a bit sweet. Average, but way better than the mass producers. Chive on! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft served in a pint glass at Righteous Room. Pours a clear pale gold color with a finger of white head. Not much of an aroma comes off this, but I get some fairly prominent biscuit and pale malts, with some straw and crackers, as well. The flavor is very malty, with bread, cracker, cereal, straw, and a bit of sugars and muddled fruit. Fairly full-bodied for the style, but Iíd call it medium-bodied overall. Medium to high carbonation with a malty mouthfeel. Doesnít strike me as a pale lager by RB standards. A bit more to it.

Pint on tap at Keystone in Hyde Park. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent ridges of lace. Pretty amber-colored for a "gold" lager. Amber in flavor, too. Definitely some caramel flavor, but pretty plain otherwise. Mildly bready doughy. Sort of a weird kind of macro metallic twinge to the taste. Mild musty funk to the flavor. Some mild nuttiness. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Mild unpleasant roughness at the end of the palate. Medium body. Light carbonation, slightly rough. Slick finish. Not too much outrightly wrong with it, but this is a boring, very plain kind-of-amber lager. Mild rough bite isnít too bad, but itís just boring overall. Not that flavorful, nothing great about it. A decent macro alternative maybe, but unremarkable otherwise.

Pitcher shared with the bowling team. This was the $10 pitcher special. Definitely worth the extra $3 over the $7 Labatt pitcher special. Nice golden body. Lots of sweet malty aroma. Has quite a bit of taste too. Slightly sweet for my taste, but was pretty good.

On tap at Brooks Place Tavern. Golden clear appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of pale malts, light fruits, honey, bread and biscuits. Similar flavor, mild sweetness and light hop bitterness. Medium body with a smooth feel. Easy to drink, pretty solid lager.
