COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clean and crisp lager with notes of honey and biscuit. The grain bill adds a beautiful gold hue and full flavor. The Gold Lager proves pilsner style lagers can be full flavored.

Reminds me od a less tasty brew similar to Bud. My advice is someone who wants to try it...move on.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Smells and tastes like sweet corn. A bit one-dimensional. I’m not sure "sweet corn" is a good taste for a drink. Not the worst thing ever, though.

A clear yellow body, white lasting head, some soapy lacing. Sweet aroma of grains, honey. Taste is semi-sweet, but a bit drier than the nose suggests. Definitely better than most pale lagers. I can see why it’s a 96 in the style. Not bad.

A well qualified, "tame" beer. Reminds me of some of the older domestic US beers such as Schmitz, Gennesse, etc. it'll do if you aren't drinking for great taste. Good for after mowing the lawn with its grassy, slightly notes.

Pours a clear bright golden with a so-so white head. Aroma is corn and a hint of hop flowers. Taste is sweet pale malt, corn, bread dough and the slightest hop bitterness possible. Inoffensive and refreshing, but nothing remarkable.

drpimento (2966) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Appearance is pretty average. Aroma is quite mild- a little biscuit, fresh beer. Flavor’s like nose, plus some tang, honey, is slightly on sweet side. Body is ok. Overall, nothing special, forgettable.

bottle. golden with one finger head. lightly honey sweetness. mild breadiness. nothing flawed, but quite bland and unexciting.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head that dissipates quick and left no lacing. The aroma was honey and bready biscuit malts. The flavor was more of the same and very crisp and refreshing

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, corn, and a hint of honey. Taste is fairly typical, though with no nastiness. Light-medium bodied. Nothing special but very solid for the style.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden yellow with a very small white head. The aroma is slightly skunky. The flavor is very watery. Not a good beer.
