COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hurricane Kitty is a coppery and heavily hopped India Pale Ale. Named after brewmaster Keegan’s grandmother who’s driving earned her quite a reputation racing her six children to and from a local Long Island beach ferry during the 1960’s, Hurricane Kitty is the undisputed family favorite. We try to make the hop bill read as aggressively as her driving record.

A - Pours copper, half a fingers-worth of white head, some spotty lacing and a thin ring around the glass remains. Some whisps here and there on top. S - Citrus, nice malt notes, slight bitterness. Not exactly sure how old this bottle is, but it’s lost some hops, that’s for sure. T - Grapefruits first and foremost, some citrus hops, slight bitterness, subtle malt character. Really nice mix of hops and malts. Not sure if this is old or not, but it’s pretty darn good. M - Light, good carbonation for the style, crisp and refreshing, oily finish. D - Great IPA, smooth and mellow

Hurricane Kitty pours a nice amber/copper color and has a good head with decent lacing. There is a malt element present, but it is dominated by strong citrus/floral/pine hops. The combination of all of the elements in play make this an outstandingly refreshing IPA that goes down well and invites the drinker to have another.

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and orange zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light grapefruit with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Tasted at NYC Craft Beer Festival. Overly sweet, citrus hop profile, hot alcohol. Need to revisit.

on tap poured into a pint glass at their brewhouse a: amber color, light head with fair retention s: slight caramized malt sweetness, slight pine and citrus hint t: slightly more sweet than most IPAs, did have a bite of citrus and pine bitterness. Very enjoyable. m&d: slightly thick, chewy mouth. Slightly dry finish. Lightly carbonated. Overall an impressive and drinkable "little" IPA.

Maybe this shouldnt be labeled as an IPA because Im getting more of an amber ale or ESB look, aroma, and flavor here. Amber in color, aroma is of floral and citrus hops, some sweet malts, taste is pretty much the same, nothing really stands out. the malt is way too sweet to be enjoyable even as a session ale.

Aroma of pine, slight grapefruit and a big malty caramel. Pours deep orange with a huge fluffy head. Tastes bitter with a grassy hop with hints of floral and a big malt in front. Not very pleasant.
