COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hurricane Kitty is a coppery and heavily hopped India Pale Ale. Named after brewmaster Keegan’s grandmother who’s driving earned her quite a reputation racing her six children to and from a local Long Island beach ferry during the 1960’s, Hurricane Kitty is the undisputed family favorite. We try to make the hop bill read as aggressively as her driving record.

The beer poured great with a nice copper color, an off white mild head and mild lacing on the glass. The beer smells decent with a grapefruit scent up front blended with toffee malts and a mild orange finish. The beer tasted decent with a nice orange, lemony blended and a caramel malt finish. The mouthfeel was average while the beer was well carbonated but the taste was funky, almost skunky. Overall, the beer was decent but just had some weird combinations that I dont think mixed well together.

12 ounce bottle pours a slight hazy golden copper color with white fluffy head. A decent piney hop aroma but nothing extraordinary. Very highly carbonated a nice malt to hops balance. A bit sour on the end. Overall a pretty solid I PA. Happy IPA day! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Pours a clear copper color with a creamy white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and a bit lemony. Taste mimics the nose. Decent balance between the bitter hops and the malt.

Hazy amber color out of the bottle with a thin fizzy off white head. Floral hop nose with some citrus notes. There is some caramel sweetness but mostly just raw hop pellet bitterness. Lots of hop resin with some stale fruit and dusty grapefruit rind in the finish. Not as well balanced as I like.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of hops, malt and brownies. Amber, lacing tan head. Citrus and grassy hops dominate, creamy malt in back. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Nut, caramel and raisin notes. Not outstanding, but pretty good.

Drank from the bottle. Aroma is fruity with a touch of malt. The taste is basically the same, not a bad ipa. Unremarkable but satisfying nonetheless.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Darien, CT. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of caramel and toffee with herbal, minty hops and a bit of melon. The taste is caramel malts, floral hops, and a bit of toastiness. Mildly lingering bitterness, medium bodied. Decent.

Pours amber with a dissipating white head and toasty aroma of caramel and hops. Taste is toasty, of hops, floral notes, caramel, and malt with a bitter finish. Solid IPA
