COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hurricane Kitty is a coppery and heavily hopped India Pale Ale. Named after brewmaster Keegan’s grandmother who’s driving earned her quite a reputation racing her six children to and from a local Long Island beach ferry during the 1960’s, Hurricane Kitty is the undisputed family favorite. We try to make the hop bill read as aggressively as her driving record.

on tap poured into a pint glass at their brewhouse a: amber color, light head with fair retention s: slight caramized malt sweetness, slight pine and citrus hint t: slightly more sweet than most IPAs, did have a bite of citrus and pine bitterness. Very enjoyable. m&d: slightly thick, chewy mouth. Slightly dry finish. Lightly carbonated. Overall an impressive and drinkable "little" IPA.

The body has a dark old coppery color with lighter amber highlights and a tall off white head. The head has good retention and makes lots of delicate lacing on the glass. There is a strong sweet caramel maltiness with firm citrus and mellow piney hop notes. It has a solid medium body with a sweet malty character off set buy citrusy hops on the finish. Its sweetness is caramel like and dominates most of the flavor profile till the finish where the hops pop out, bringing with them the bitterness of an IPA. This bitterness slowly fades of the tongue well into the aftertaste.

BLADT (451) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Bottle pour. Great looking beer. Matt, ruby red with good sized head. Nose is tropical fruit at first, but quickly displaced with cider and sterile toasted malts. Taste continues the theme of pushing the hops to background. Lots of malt caramel malt characteristics. Earthy. A bit grainy, borderline watery, on palate. Eh.

Orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Large resiny hops dominate the aroma. Caramel malt, resiny hops, and just a touch of fruity esters. Followed by a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. nice beer just on the edge of wow

Dark reddish amber. Not what I was expecting. Dark dank ipa. Very malty with a bitter hippy edge.

Draft at Pony Bar HK during the Hudson Valley NY tap takeover event. Not as horrible as the Super kitty imperial version, but still a very malt-focused ipa. Lots of caramel malt character dominating any semblance of hop profile there might have been. Some slick pine resin in the finish.

Keg. Pours hazy copper with a fluffy off-white head that lasts and laces. Smells of apple cider and piney, citrusy hops. Drinks smoothly with mild lingering hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Good effervescence. Tastes of wood, wet leaves, and piney hops. Solid, but weirdly balanced for an IPA.

Keg at the Ginger Man, NYC, 23/11/13. Clear amber/copper with a good sized light beige head. Nose is juicy hops, orange, light spice, grass, toasted malts. Taste comprises orange pith, mandarin, caramel, sweet notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop notes in the finish. Ok easy drinking IPA.

Pours a light amber. Has a strong malt and light hop aroma like an amber ale. A nice wheat and citrus/floral hops taste with a light bitter after taste that isnt overpowering.

Typical east coast ipa, citrus hops, slight herbs, balanced malt, not bad but not exciting.
