Commercial Description:
Mother’s Milk, as the name implies, is a dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course, milk make Mother’s Milk’s remarkably smooth and silky finish a classic example of the style.

served at NYC Brewtopiafest. pours a deep black body with a small tan head. yum. yum. right from the start. extremely strong, well-balanced and potent flavors that intrigue and delight. the aroma is roasted and nutty. the flavors are roasted, roasted, roasted. quite a bit of coffe, caramel, vanilla and chocolate malts. toffee and a slight bready yeasty hide out in the undertone. full body, thick consistency on the palate. a real winner.

12 oz bottle. Dark black with a light brown/tan head. Nice sweet chocolatey aroma, a bit of chicory and herbal hop notes throughout as well. There is also a lovely minty note over the top that works very well here. Cocoa and sweet caramel flavour. Flavour matches with a deep rich oaty flavour mixed with the other sweet malts and chocolate. Some earthy hop flaovur ov the back with just enough bitterness to keep the sweetness in check. Warming brings out a bit of cherry and molasses. Really nice stout.

Pours black with hints of red coming through with the light. Average size darker tan creamy head that left some nice lacing. Aroma of coffee grinds, cocoa, roasted malts, some vanilla. Was starting to pick up some coffee with cream and light sugar as this warmed. Flavor was more of the roasted malts, the coffee grinds, dark chocolate and lactose.

Light aroma to this stout, a touch of chocolate. Thin mouth feel and a slight coffee bitterness. Nothing great.

Any first impressions?
-A sheet of head recedes to a ring around opaque darkness.
-Vanilla-tinged maltiness is covered in timid roastiness; nothing really attracts, but this spells well-crafted.
-Dark chocolate and vanilla sweetness are deepened by cheerful cherry undertones.
-An appropriate CO2 dosage leaves full view of the very well malted, suave mouthfeel.

What if you dig deeper?
-Dark fruit and molasses unite to dominate the finish, yielding only a smidge of roastiness.
-The nourishing mouthfeel is definitely my favorite feature here.
-The malt’s sweetness builds in the aroma upon warming.
-This is a competent sweet stout, no doubt very fine for sessions.

Bottle; no date.

Looks amazing. Pours a dark blackish color with a brown head. Tastes amazing as well... creamy, chocolatey, coffeeish, but tart and fruity almost.... just damn good.
