KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Aug 16, 2008 Very good. It doesn’t smell or look overly spectacular as my scores show, but what matters most is the mouth feel, and the taste. In both of those areas it succeed and thats all that matters. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2008 Black viscous pour. Roasty aroma. Medium bodied. Rich robust flavor. Chocolate flavor, and a dry finish SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 31, 2008 draft @ brewery - this is the one i stopped for; jet black with thick tan head; a little on the mild side, but very smooth and tasty; rich and chocolaty; has the texture of a sweet stout, but doesn’t fall into the trap of being too sweet; very nice chronictonic (399), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours a thick black with small tan head. Aromas of delicious roasted malts. BIG dry roasty flavor. Nicely balanced with some lactose - but not too much. No sourness. Clean crisp dry finish leaves you wanting more. This is a really, really good milk stout. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Jun 22, 2008 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Black with lasting tan head and lace. Roasted chocolate coffee chocolate chip cookie and earthy aroma. Medium roasted chocolate and coffee with mild fruit and medium coffee dark chocolate bitterness. Medium body medium-low carb with creamy silky texture. Pretty damn good and flavorful. sleepylopes (313), New York, USA Jun 14, 2008 nice dark coffe brown toped with a small head, light lacing. milky and creamy with notes of coffe and cream. think coffe icecream. ballanced and delicious big on malt and body. kramer (2407), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 12 oz bottle, via trade. Pours a very dark brown body with a fizzy thinnish light brown head. The nose is roasty with a good bit of coffee and some chalky yeast. The flavor is very chalky with a slight lactic sugary finish. A little caramel and yeastiness. Mouthfeel is a little on the thinner side with nice soft fizzy carbonation. Overall, a passable Sweet Stout, but not something that I’d seek out again. beerbill (1919), Laurel, New York, USA Apr 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a large tan colored head that faded to a film by mid-glass and left partial lacing. Very pleasant aroma of coffee and, to a lesser extent, chocolate. Very promising beginning. The flavor is a bit of a disappointment. The coffee and chocolate that I enjoyed in the aroma are gone, and replaced with some lightly roasted malt and tobacco. Lightly sweet, but also some dryness that lingers for a bit after the swallow. This is a decent stout with some plusses and minuses.
