May 7, 2008 12 oz bottle, via trade. Pours a very dark brown body with a fizzy thinnish light brown head. The nose is roasty with a good bit of coffee and some chalky yeast. The flavor is very chalky with a slight lactic sugary finish. A little caramel and yeastiness. Mouthfeel is a little on the thinner side with nice soft fizzy carbonation. Overall, a passable Sweet Stout, but not something that I’d seek out again.

Apr 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a large tan colored head that faded to a film by mid-glass and left partial lacing. Very pleasant aroma of coffee and, to a lesser extent, chocolate. Very promising beginning. The flavor is a bit of a disappointment. The coffee and chocolate that I enjoyed in the aroma are gone, and replaced with some lightly roasted malt and tobacco. Lightly sweet, but also some dryness that lingers for a bit after the swallow. This is a decent stout with some plusses and minuses.

Apr 14, 2008 Good little brew here... Very dark and full of roasted malt flavor, this stout typifies what a milk stout should be... Good tasting but not too rich..

Mar 27, 2008 So these guys from Keegan DO know how to brew!! Hot damn! After their awful showing with Hurricane Kitty, it left an awful taste in my mouth in more than one way. But this was a total 180. An aroma of consisting of mainly chocolate and coffee, but after having that Hurricane Kitty crap this stuff tasted like Darkness!! Appearance was black with a creamy off-white head. A smooth, mellow mouthfeel with just the right thickness. Flavor was roasted malts/coffee, a bit of chocolte and finishes with a nice bitterness. Good stuff.

Mar 26, 2008 BOTTLE. Pours almost black with pleasant aroma of roast malts Full but not heavy bodied. The milk probably contributes to the well rounded creaminess, but is not obvious - I had kinda feared a Starbucks-like concoction, but thankfully not one. Nice overall BUY AGAIN? Yes

Mar 17, 2008 on tap at HDG. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma: light roast with chocolate. Taste is chocolate, with some light lactose sweetness, and roast. Some tart fruit- roast gets a bit astringent.

Mar 12, 2008 Sweet toffee toasted aroma. Dark with minimal head. Crisp finish with some prune sweetness followed by toasted caramel maltiness.

Mar 3, 2008 Druahgt at Hop Devil, NYC. Black color, creamy offwhite head. Milky, malty chocolate aroma. Malty, milky flavor, some hops, some cocoa and chocolate.
