| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Very dark brown with a thin film of grayish tan receded from an originally thick and pillowy cream. Some cinnamon and lots of weak coffee, heavy with cream and sugar, in the aroma; wet mulch, some roast, and distant fruits. Flavor is all crisp apple and sarsaparilla, with tepid hints of maple, honey, and foliage. Weird, weak citrus, pears, and iron water in a doughy, oily mid palate. Some mild tartness. Palate is crisp and quiet; medium bodied and sharply carbonated. Lots of ashy roast and mild astringency in the fairly long and wet finish. Lots of good qualities, but no conversion. Thanks Chris! lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Black pour with a lasting tan head. Slightly transluscent. Smell is light coffee with definitely milky creaminess, but not heavily. Hint of cardboard in the nose. Taste is mild roastiness with some creaminess and a finish of metal and cardboard. Some off flavors keep it from being better, but I thought it was still pretty decent and drinkable. Thanks Dave! Nose of big time roasted malts, chocolate, some smokyness. Taste is much the same, except im not picking up the smokyness in the flavor though. Pretty full bodied, nice smooth feel on the palate, and pleasent aftertaste of roasted chocolate. I like it. ChainGangGuy (2556), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
