Black pour with a lasting tan head. Slightly transluscent. Smell is light coffee with definitely milky creaminess, but not heavily. Hint of cardboard in the nose. Taste is mild roastiness with some creaminess and a finish of metal and cardboard. Some off flavors keep it from being better, but I thought it was still pretty decent and drinkable. Thanks Dave! NJBeerman013 (768), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jan 18, 2008 Draft. A slightly better than average sweet stout. Midnight black, with a creamy, foamy top. Standard roasted malts, chocolate/coffee flavors. Tasty. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Jan 12, 2008 From bottle, Thanks to TopherDrinks : Pours a very dark black, with a soft brown half finger head. Nose of big time roasted malts, chocolate, some smokyness. Taste is much the same, except im not picking up the smokyness in the flavor though. Pretty full bodied, nice smooth feel on the palate, and pleasent aftertaste of roasted chocolate. I like it. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Dec 29, 2007 Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a small, creamy-looking head.
Smell: Roasted malts with a faint whiff of smoke. Notes of oatmeal, chocolate milk, and crushed malted milk balls.
Taste: Roasted maltiness with flavors of dark chocolate and chocolate milk. Hint of vanilla and oats. Light roasty bitterness to curb a bit of the sweetness. Chocolate malt drink finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A pleasant, satisfying milk stout experience. jberti (19), Albany, New York, USA Dec 26, 2007 Pours black, rustic milky chocolate aroma. Nice earthy taste coupled with mild roasted dark chocolate and malted coffee. Very drinkable and enjoyable beer. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Dec 23, 2007 Name: Mother’s Milk

frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Dec 10, 2007 Deep yet clear mahogany/black body under a slow settling, creamy head of tan. Sweet, chocolate ice cream aroma with the here-and-there of roasted grains and molasses. Mild alcohol shows late. Full bodied. Thick and creamy with an ever so slight tinge of tinfoil. Chocolate syrup and wort flavor with a touch of roast coffee bitterness. Quite a good stout that I am happy to have cellared for six months before drinking.
