COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mother’s Milk, as the name implies, is a dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course, milk make Mother’s Milk’s remarkably smooth and silky finish a classic example of the style.

Pours a thick black with small tan head. Aromas of delicious roasted malts. BIG dry roasty flavor. Nicely balanced with some lactose - but not too much. No sourness. Clean crisp dry finish leaves you wanting more. This is a really, really good milk stout.

From notes: Poured inky black with some bubbling along the glass and a creamy, 1-finger dark tan head. Aroma was mild, with notes of caramel and grain. Medium-thick, with a nice creaminess to it. Nice roasty flavor, with a creamy/caramelly note in the finish a bit reminiscent of a creme brulee.

Bottle in NYC. A dark black coloured stout with minimal head. Looks a little oily. Aroma gentle malt, taste is creamy milky chocolate, some restrained roast, pleasant bitter finish. Very smooth and nice to drink. I generally prefer more bitter stouts but this was very tasty.

Black bodied, no head and flat appearance. Roasty nose, black patent, and some lactose notes. Easy black patent flavor, smooth and with some touches of lactose. Not really chocolatey. Dry and rather one dimensional, but not bad.

Deep brown in the glass with minimal tan head. Some roasted malt notes with the sweetness I would expect for the style. Average at best.

In bottle. Pours a very dark brown colour with a light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, lactose, caramel, roasty malt and alcohol. Similar flavours with plenty of milk chocolate and a little CO2 prickle. Great creamy mouth-feel. Tasty.

Bottle at cgarvieuk’s. Deep creamy brown/black, thin off-white head fades to nothing. Lovely rich milky nose, vanilla, milk chocolate, hint of roast malts. Nice bittersweet chocolate front, creamy milky backbone with a nice subtle roasty bitterness on the finish. Great creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and chocolate along with a slightly dusty cotton aroma. Body is flat black with a creamy, two finger thick, mocha head that diminshes slowly. Some roasted bitterness in the fore followed by sweet and creamy milk laded coffee, milk chocolate and more bitterness through the middle, and lingering into the finish. Finish is dry, but tart and bitter as well. Has some decent flavor.

Poured into a pint glass from the bottle from the garage (45 degrees). Deep brown/black with a nice brown head. Nice chocolate and faint black coffee aromas. The flavor is a nice, smooth chocolate and milk flavor that lasts and steady. There a little bit of roast and vanilla, as well as some malt flavors that come out more as the beer warms a bit. Nice, creamy mouthfeel, which I expect from the style, but don’t always get. Very nice beer.

On tap pouts dark amber with ruby in the edges, small head that disappears. Nose and taste is roast and light cocoa. Mouth is creamy.
