3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(6/30/08) Draught at Stöhrenkeller in Bamberg. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is quite grassy and hoppy with some malt. Flavor starts a bit sweet and malty and continues with lovely hoppy bitterness (with some grass) that lasts long. Medium-bodied. A very nice Pils.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured with a large head. Nothing exciting about the aroma or flavor. It’s a decent beer, but nothing I would buy over other Pilseners. Very middle of the road.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from BevMo. Golden color with a large white head. Aroma of pale malt and noble hop. Near medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is noble hop over pale malt. Finish is mildly bitter. It’s good, and seems true to the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Euro style bottle at Bev Mo - 18 July 2008 - Pours a pale yellow gold with just a touch of haze Ivory white head with nice lacing down the sides of the glasses.
Smells like fresh hay, lemony, slight sweet malt and a clean noble hop aroma
Being a medium light bodies pils - nice blend of flavors from cracker like malt to a slightly tart, floral and spicy hop notes. The finish is dry and refreshing with a just little long lingering big bitterness
Overall: A good pils - seems like a recent availability in the "Mega" Bev Mo in CA - I should say quite enjoyable. I would think a fresh sample would be more enjoyable some of the hop qualities would be more expressive - Cheers !

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at Keesmann Brewpub, Bamberg. Pale yellow gold with white head. Lowly flavoured Pils, thin, light malt with a hint of lemon hop, but in general quite underwhelming.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This pilsner pours a light gold color from a 50cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is grassy and hoppy. A medium to light bodied pilsner. The malts are grassy and with a touch of cereal. The hops are spicy and floral. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Decent pilsner. There is a touch of a vitamin like taste at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden with an OK head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt and flower. The flavour has a light bitterness, notes of malt, fruit, flower and it ends on a slightly dry, citrussy-bitter note. It’s a very refreshing pilsner.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2015 Wonderfully aromatic German noble hopped Pilsner, showing the pepper-spice quality of Tettnang and Spalt well. Perfectly balanced sweetness and bitterness, lip-smacking pale malt crossed with intoxicating lemon-pepper-herb hoppiness, and perfectly clean as well. A timeless classic of Upper Franconia.

Draught in Bamberg, the German beer walhalla! One of the better German Pilsners. Sparklingly refreshing in taste. Very nice hoppy taste and finish, no overpowering alcohol. Light and becoming.
