Ein Pils der Extraklasse, nach überliefertem Familien-Rezept gebraut. Seinen edelherben Geschmack verdankt es sorgsam ausgewählten Hopfensorten.

Draught at Brauerei Keesmann in Bamberg. Light lemon yellow colored body with a white head. Nose if light malthouse wort and very light and dusty yeast. Very mild... taste is wet, cold, and then crisp, with some more of this wort flavor up front and then more drying and hoppy in the finish, crisp even, greenish hops. Not bad.

Draught in Bamberg, the German beer walhalla! One of the better German Pilsners. Sparklingly refreshing in taste. Very nice hoppy taste and finish, no overpowering alcohol. Light and becoming.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2013 Bottle (BB March 2014). Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a hint of DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Still decent five years later...bright hops and good balance. Could be a bit cleaner and more vibrant, but this is a refreshingly solid, quaffable pils.

Sampled on draft in Bamberg. Clear golden/straw color. Nice creamy white head with great lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and noble hops. Light bitterness up front with medium body and some hope character in finish. A wonderful pils in the land of rauchbier.

Light yellow colored, medium sized white head. Rich hopped, fine German fruity aroma. This strong malty-brewery tone in the air distract little bit while sitting 10 meters from brewery door. Still, crispy aroma, even some Swedish-flowery tone can be found. Medium bodied. Flavor is even crispier with good hops and lemon. Some handmade-yeastiness also there, but in positive way. Good pils.

Bottle. Pale gold with a decent, lacy white head. Aroma of hay with a hint of grassy hops. Flavour began with sweet malt before a slightly citrussy edge took over. The finish was fairly bitter. A good lager.
