(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 March 2014) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grass and hay. Malty taste with bread, grass, hay, crisp malt and a fairly dry finish with a fresh grassy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Crisp, clean, tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Bottle 0.5l. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma is grainy, grassy with hops, bread. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet, grainy, grassy, good hop flavour. Aftertaste has a long lasting bitterness. Very good Pils. Perfect balance of bitterness and hoppy, fruity flavor.

When away from the IPA for a while, a nice pilsner does the job for the most part... as long as it is only temporary. Poured from the tap with a slightly hazy straw yellow color and a brilliant white generous head. Aroma of grass and honey and cereal. Flavor followed and was actually a bit sweet underneath. Firmly hopped with bitterness to balance, but the sweetness was just a bit excessive although overall the beer was excellent. Grainy flavored and mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Tap @ a local bar. Golden body with a beautiful white creamy head. Malty, with a distinct herbal finish. More bitter than the average pils.

Draught @ Akkurat. A super hoppy pils with heavy notes of citrus and herbs. Nice edgy bitterness. Also some sweet notes of pear. A bit too carbonated to be a true winner, but still a world class pils. Would love to try it from cask!

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2014 Bamberger Bierwochenende, Bier Nr. 1. - Vom Faß bei Keesmann-Bräu, Bamberg. - Goldgelb, klar.

Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Half litre bottle, slightly sexist title but much hyped (for a Pils) A: Admittedly not much to look at, golden, clear, not much of a head. S: Noble hop, Hallertau I think, faded slightly, some freshly cooked mushroom came through at the very end. T: Grassy, got some citrus fruits, breast good balance. M: Light body, crispy, initially well carbonated but faded. O: Initially outstanding but seemed to die and go flat quickly which was a slight disappointment. I think this would be amazing on draught at the source.
