Half pint (draught) at Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden, lightly opaque, little head. Floral aroma, better than the average lager. Dry, a little sharp, and malty.

White head, yellow body. The taste is herb-citrus intensiv, and good balanced. It is herb but because the special citrus flavour very nice to drink. I tried around 300 Pilsener Beers but this is one of maybe three I would recommend. I love it!

First had this beer in Berlin, but shared it with my wife and friends, didn’t review it back then, but seeing a bottle of it in a glass fronted fridge behind the bar at The Cask Pub and Kitchen, London, I thought I’d have a full bottle to myself. Usual Pilsner look, bright, clear, clean and golden: on top a thin white head which hung around for a while before disappearing to form a flimsy collar. Mild hop aroma; gets my standard score of 3 for a mostly non-smelling Pilsner/Lager. Crisp, tangy, the same as all those other German Pilsners I’ve had over the years, some hop content which is half noticeable and it’s a refreshing beer, but no real substance or depth of character. Another run of the mill Pilsner, fine but no great excitement from my taste buds. I thought it had something about it when tried in Berlin, must have been mistaken.

Bottled 50cl. Clear pale yellow with a nicely remaining white head. Bready biscuity pale malts and wooden grassy hops are most present in the nose. Oxidized lemon sneaking in. Good bitterness. Crisp and clean. Medium bodied. Lovely hop profile and good malt back. Average carbonation. Beautiful lacework. Long dry hoppy finish which is reminiscent of bready malts and lemon. Flawless and delicious.

Clear cut, hefty hops all round. Constant fizz produces an inoffensive head. Big impact doesnt leave much room to linger. A solid start to any session. (Bottle, The Pond, Edinburgh.)
