Look; white head and pale straw golden body. Aroma; lots of pale toffeeish malts, straw, grass, hops and bread and grains. Taste; pale malts, lots of toffee caramel, grass, citric bread - normal texture and soft plus carbonation - leading to a fruity half dry finish with lots of citric notes. Very fresh. Served chilled, apx 4’c. [50cl brown bottle 4.8%abv BB13-09-2015 T@Ferie2015]

On tap at the brewery. Smell of pale bread and some light fruits. Light sweet taste, bready and light fruity. Easy to drink but not interesting.

Pours a clear medium yellow with a white cap. The smell is lightly fruity, grain. The taste is wet grain, mild fruit, ending is crisp. The body is light+ and oily slick with fine carbonation structure.

Tap at the brewery. Bright, clear gold with a thin, fine head. Malty, biscuit nose, grass and herbs. Sweet and malty flavor, but clean. Biscuits, lemony hops. Tasty and clean. Great body. Very sueffig and tasty. A bit too sweet, but nice.

Nettes Helles, das sehr buttrig und blumig daherkommt und mit all seinen klassischen Aromen punktet, die sin solches Piwo ausmachen. Süffig, einfach, aber empfehlenswert.

Bottle from Getränkemarkt Fristo in Bamberg. The beer has got a clear deep golden colour with an airy low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and straw, followed by a taste of mild intense hops, straw, mild fruits, bread and light herbs. Smooth to drink and refreshing. Good and solid beer.

Pours nice yellow and clear with a full and stable head. Fresh smell of grass, spices and flowers. Tastes at first a bit malty/sweet, then more and more hoppy/spicy and fresh. Very refreshing and with a full mouthfeel. A decent Helles.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 Vom fass at Wilde Rose in Bamberg, Dec. 2012: Sparkling yellow golden. Creamy and pasty white froth. Clean and focused nose of flowers, melon, minerals and hay. Soft carbonation. Tad thin. Sweet notes of honey-kissed hay meld with a pistachio-like lager yeast bite and semi-sweet splash of nectar. Soft and bright hop character mimics grass clippings and even some spruce and vibrant lilac. Muted hop spice comes and goes amid the lavish and soothing hop oils. Elegant hoppiness continues with a lemony twinge in the center and nectary aplenty. Pils malt shows no starchiness, though its resounding softness beautifully harmonizes with the equally soft hops. Finishes softly with a nicely balanced interplay between delicate haylike flavors and ultra soft hops. Keesman’s products can be readily found in Bambergerland, and despite the ubiquity, the quality remains high. Both the Hell and Pils are always a reliable fallback option, especially when in need of something on a whim.
