Not the same old brown ale you take to family dinners every year because “everyone will like it”, this beer is a bit more edgy. Containing the usual American Brown Ale ingredients: caramel malts, chocolate malt and American hop varieties, we add a few more bittering hops and a generous late hop addition that take the complexity of this beer to a new level. Expect a little more bitterness and a citrus finish in addition to a chocolaty, slightly roasted, medium bodied backbone.

Pours a very dark reddish brown with a good medium sized thick head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is roasty with some over ripe fruit & some apple skin, kind of weird.... but not really bad.
The flavor is better, roasty with some earthy hop flavor... almost like an English style porter, fairly dry with light fruit and nutty notes.
The palate is just lively enough but not over carbonated.
I should note that I may have to revist this one, I’ve had this beer a bunch of times and this particular keg doesn’t seem as good as Keg Creek in general or this beer gets.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap at el Bait Shop. Very deep brown body with a light tan head. The nose is largely biscuit with some roasted coffee. There is a nice walnut character. The taste is very roasted with lots of coffee and toasted walnuts. This finishes with some well baked bread crust. This is almost like a porter. Excellent.
