3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (26476) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2010
Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin lazing white head, but a beutiful label with a wild boar. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, eggs, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of eggs, straw, malt, and hay, leading to a dry egg-like finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bierkrug (1921) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - APR 10, 2010
500 ML fliptop bottle in Germany. I am not much of a Pils fan. This had a nice aroma and taste but the palate is too hoppy and bitter for me. However it is a well made beer, just not my style.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7835) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 1, 2010
(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Pale malty aroma with notes of sour dough, barnyard and herbal, slightly grassy hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft pale malty taste with pronounced herbal hoppy notes, lingering into the dry and moderately bitter finish. As good as simple. Bravo. 01.IV.10
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cgreb (376) - Marburg, GERMANY - JAN 12, 2010
bottle - pale golden beer with a thin white head. Some floral hops aroma and hints of grass and nuts. Flavour is not too sweet with a well balanced bitterness. Typical German Pilsener.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 shrubber85 (6047) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 29, 2009
Swing-top bottle. Creamy/sour barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Golden yellow color with large, long-lasting off-white head and moderate effervescence. Creamy barley malt and moderate green grass hops flavor. Nicely blended and good body. An excellent beer - very hoppy for a German beer.
