Excellent Dunkel! Brought this guy home from Germany, and I wish I would have brought more. Probably my favorite beer I brought back with me. Malty, grain slight brown sugar scent over a dark brown pour with a big frothy head, light tan in color. Medium body with a bubbly fizzy feel. Slight toffee fronted taste, malt, brown sugar, and toasted grain. Yummy.

Malty, sweet dunkel weissbier, a great example of what this style of beer CAN be. Sweet, strong aroma, thick head. Taste is balanced throughout...full body, slightly oily feel, sweet aftertaste. Love this one.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (2440) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2012
Flip-top half-litre bottle, best before 26 Dec 2010. The fourth bottle of my German tasting evening, 2 July 2010.
Poured into one of my ’Frankiskaner’ Weissbier glasses.
The beer is mid-brown in colour, swurling, murky looking brew, a good deep cream coloured head sat on top.
The smells were of malts, roasted and toasted. A slight smoked ham hint arrived as the beer began to warm in the glass.
The beer was well carbonated, almost too fizzy at first, but it calmed down and was most enjoyable. The flavours within the taste followed the aromas, very pleasant.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mmather (122) - Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2008
From a 500ml flip top. This beer poured nice and caramel colored, with beautiful banana and clove aromas and a wonderful smooth head. What I love about dunkel weizens is the hint of caramel that the good ones add to the typical banana/clove esters and the smooth wheat mouthfeel and this one does not disappoint. Being in the US, perhaps I am deprived, but this is simply one of the best dunkel weizens I have had the privilege of consuming.
