Malty, sweet dunkel weissbier, a great example of what this style of beer CAN be. Sweet, strong aroma, thick head. Taste is balanced throughout...full body, slightly oily feel, sweet aftertaste. Love this one.

Excellent Dunkel! Brought this guy home from Germany, and I wish I would have brought more. Probably my favorite beer I brought back with me. Malty, grain slight brown sugar scent over a dark brown pour with a big frothy head, light tan in color. Medium body with a bubbly fizzy feel. Slight toffee fronted taste, malt, brown sugar, and toasted grain. Yummy.

Flip-top half-litre bottle, best before 26 Dec 2010. The fourth bottle of my German tasting evening, 2 July 2010. Poured into one of my ’Frankiskaner’ Weissbier glasses. The beer is mid-brown in colour, swurling, murky looking brew, a good deep cream coloured head sat on top. The smells were of malts, roasted and toasted. A slight smoked ham hint arrived as the beer began to warm in the glass. The beer was well carbonated, almost too fizzy at first, but it calmed down and was most enjoyable. The flavours within the taste followed the aromas, very pleasant.

From a 500ml flip top. This beer poured nice and caramel colored, with beautiful banana and clove aromas and a wonderful smooth head. What I love about dunkel weizens is the hint of caramel that the good ones add to the typical banana/clove esters and the smooth wheat mouthfeel and this one does not disappoint. Being in the US, perhaps I am deprived, but this is simply one of the best dunkel weizens I have had the privilege of consuming.

Angenehm vollmundig-hefiger Geruch.
Cremig-karamellig, schon fast etwas an Milchschokolade erinnernd. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Bottled. Murky ambery brown colour with mediumsized big beige head and leaves nice lace. Aroma is caramel malts, bunch of fruity notes as well as wheat and some herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same wqith mild toasted notes as well as nuttyness and yeast. Very pleasant and refreshing Dunkelweizen.

50cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours cloudy brown with ample frothy tan head. Smells roasty and yeasty, kind of like burnt toast. Very malty taste with some yeast. Kind of reminds me of coffee, which is strange because I don’t like coffee but I like this. Smooth palate; maybe a little watery. Medium finish. Pretty good dunkleweizen.
