330ml bottle (S. Brevinga Alus Salons, Riga)
5 Corny aroma. Some odd mushroominess.
3 Gold, brief spongy head.
5 SImple malty body, slightly tangy, and a bit chemical. Alcohol noticeable too, as well as the other odd volatiles.
3 Some toffee butterscotch finish. Decent bitter tingle, but lacking in whole green hop.
11 Sub-par. Alcohol stands out too much. NOt a total disaster, but compared to the excellent Halve Maans we just had this is black and white.

Light orange, golden coloured beer. Small head but holds good. Smell is light sweet, fruits, malts and spiced. Taste is a lot spiced and malts. Slighty hops, starts light sweet and switches to light dry bitter. A lot of these Van Steenberge brews are very simular... Allready 3th beer of them (in a small time) I smelled and tasted before I knew where it came from, and I allready tought it was from Ertvelde...

Bottle in Leuven, 2005. Nice light blonde tripel. Good honey malt flavors, alcohol quite well hidden. Decent balance, fruity, some bitterness without a whole lot of hop characterer. Not ultimately distinctive, but good enough.

Bottle, bought @ Beerplanet, Brussels.
Pours lovely clear golden with a big, staying, frothy, white head. Fine, rather large streams of bubbles surge upwards. Aroma is mildly sweet, some bready malts, light Belgian sugarm some mild viniousness, green apple. Highish carbonation, nice oily mouthfeel. Flavour is fairly sweet, apple-notes abound, some doughy malts, light biscuity, fairly crisp. Nice, straight-forward tripel.

On tap I to a sampler glass. Aroma is slightly fruity. Appearance is a golden color with a thin, quickly dissipating white head. Taste is a very light fruitiness with the alcohol coming through at the end. Not a whole lot to experience with this one.

(Bottled) Hazy golden, good head. Slightly vegetably nose with honeyish malt. Honey-bisquity, sweetish maltiness masks the alcohol pretty well. Not too acidic. Some vegetably hints. Quite carbonated. A very basic, but well-made tripel - typical for Steenberge. 5335

Aroma fetidissimo di vomito + alcol, ma cos’č sta robaccia, probabilmente la peggiore birra che Van Steenberge potesse fare; bleurgh
