Chalky aroma with a touch of citrus. Just a bit of flowery hops and boiled milk in the flavor, but in fact a fairly bland Dutch pilsener, with a short aftertaste.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 1, 2006
Clear gold; medium, very white head. Rather malty, pale malts nose, with a quite a bit of malt sweetness, nearly honeyish and a little greenery whiff. But all in very discreet amounts. Dry-malty/grainy flavour with a background metallic tang. (Very) faint spiceyness (nutmeg?). Rather watery MF. Faint maltsweetness again in the aftertaste. Ho-hum pilsener. Might well be the same as Gulpener Pilsner.

Taste is actually pretty good for a pilsner. More taste, bitter and good when thirsty.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 goozen (1884) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 24, 2010
Bottle 0,3ltr: Drunk it at work, it’s not too sweet like an Amstel beer. A little bitter taste, a reasonable lager brew.
