Cask; Seasonal - December to February.
A rich, dark ale, combining a fusion of coffee & chocolate with a deep fruity aftertaste.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A hazy brown beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet notes of caramel, and I also pick up slight notes of wheat? The flavor is cask flat with lots of caramel, chocolate, and toffee as well as lighter notes of wood. The end is bitter with notes of chocolate.

Cask at GBBF Darkish brown colour with some dark fruit malts and some roasted flavours but not really that canny at all

Cask conditioned. Dark brown coloured. A very full Winter beer with loads of roasted malt and coffee. Nice and well balanced.

Cask (gravity dispense) at White Cliffs Festival 2006. Very red/ruby in colour. Dried fruit and dark malt accents. Slight medicinal edge to the flavour. The overall feel is quite rustic and traditional. Finishes distinctly dry. Decent, if unspectacular.

Cask @ GBBF 2005: Brown/red coloured. Brownish head. Fruit, cocoa and coffee in the aroma. Is dry in the flavour. Cocoa and coffee again. Light roastiness. Has a nice sweetness to balance the dark flavours. Is quite fresh. Is quite fresh. Me like.
