Named after Paisley's river, White Cart Water, this golden full bodied ale boasts smacks of flavour. The appearance is enhanced by a touch of wheat malt, giving good head retention and a wonderfully dry after-taste that won't be easily forgotten. As the name suggests feel free to enjoy 'Cart Blanche' as the mood dictates.

Flavour is composed of sweet Base malts, tangy fruits, hint of hot alcohol. Fruity. Little bit of a hot ferment. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Middle of the road golde.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, bready, toasted grain, cereal and porridge. The taste is smooth, bitter, chewy malt, porridge, peppery spice, white bread, hint of lemon and grain with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A pretty run of the mill malt-led golden ale.

Cask at JDW Standing Order. Clear golden. Nose is sweetish malts, light citrus and floral. Taste is grainy malts, some fruity and citrus bitterness, bitterish dry finish. Maybe not all the bitterness belongs here.

On cask at Au Bar. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and a slight haze. Nose - lemon and flowers. Taste - more citrus with mineral note underneath. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a humid evening and just what the beer doctor would’ve ordered.

2014-06-28. Crisp dark yellow body with a small white head and nice lace. 3+ Aroma of bready lightly yeasty pale malt. Light fruity touches. Flavour is a bit strange up front, fruity, sort of sweet, then a. Brief sort of soapy quality that goes away. Bready pale malt. Sweetish lemon notes. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay, it grows on me but ultimately just okay. Cask at Bon Accord, Glasgow
