Cask conditioned at The Chequers, Oxford. Black with tan head. Good, deep dark maltiness with chocolate and coffee flavours, dry and full, bitter with a long palate. There is a vague fruitiness flowing through, blackberry perhaps just to add depth. Very pleasant.
