UPDATED: MAY 8, 2006 NOT exactly my type of beer, I do not like Ales that much, but this was pretty much refreshing, the foam sticked to the glass nicely, and the flavor was not annoying after I finish it. Although the colour is not as red as a mild, it has some features which are quite red. Some honey spots are found too, but very scarcely.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2006 Pours i nice rust reddish colour. Aroma is fruity hops, little sweetness too. Taste is similar with a dry biscuit finish, maybe a little thin it has to be said be very very drinkable. RE-RATE: This has improved recently quite a bit. Fruity grassy, balanced one of the best session beers avalible in Glasgow.

Cask Conditioned, at Aikman’s Cellar Bar, St. Andrews, Scotland.
Amber with a reddish hue, smooth fine beige head. New world hop aroma. Moderate but firm bitter flavour. Appealing set of qualities that are hard not to like. The bar is underground matchbox, with no windows and thick cloud of smoke. It’s a wonderfully mixed crowd though. Goths, university hippies, clam beach goes and swanky businessman just in from a round, are all rammed into this place, cheek-by-jowl.
