Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Named after a local blacksmiths, this beer is complex in character as is fitting for a championship winning ale. Red Smiddy is a smooth, dry ale with a unique spicy aroma and flavour. Its reddish hue, warm glow and tight head gives it a presence that makes it stand out against its competitors

Cask at GBBF 2006, CBoB entry cask. A pale orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with lovely grassy and grapefruit notes - very American. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter end.

[Cask at GBBF] Amber colour. Grapefruity hop aroma. Medium sweet with fairly soft mouthfeel and soapy perfumy hoppiness. Mildly malty, citric and refreshing. Medium bitterness.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Deep copper with beige head. Attractive hop aroma with a bit of bleachness in mouth. Bleach is too dominant Malt and red berries are good but they are let down by this strange chemicalness.
