Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in June 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thick creamy white head. Lemon grass present in the short aroma. Thin but sparkling mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a zesty citric note of lemon peel, short in intensity and depth of flavour. Dry hop pellets give a citrus flavour to the short bitter aftertaste. Finish is dry and astringent with lemon pith to the fore but weak overall. An ok session bitter but why bother when you can have the full fat flavour of Cart Blanche.

Aroma is pale malts and citrusy hops, kelburn written all over it. Taste is similar reasonably biscuity not a serious amount of hops but very drinkable. The brewer said its made for lager drinkers which doesnt fill me with confidence.
