COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - February 2011.
A deep golden ale, brewed using crystal malt to give biscuity and gentle toffee flavours. Three different varieties of hops are used to balance this malted sweetness with subtle bitterness and a spicy vanilla aroma. Enjoy this lovely winter warmer for a fresh start to the new year.

Cask @ The Fat Cat in Sheffield. Light amber color, little off-white head. Light malts and candied citrus aromas. Hints of mulled wine. The taste is a bit sweet and bready. Mild bitterness. The palate’s a bit unstructured and abrupt. Overall, OK.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Golden amber. Loose off-white head. Some condition. Not a lot of aroma. Some orange peel hops on the palate. Moderate bitterness. Gets a bit astringent in the aftertaste. Decent enough but not that much happening. Not exactly what I’d call a winter warmer.

Cask handpull, The Last Post (JDW), Beeston, Notts. Dull orange, slim off white head. Good sappy hop aroma with woodsy, herbal touches and some citrus zest. Biscuit and honeyed corn character with a ladle of orange cordial. Yep; Wotsits, shampoo, Kiora. Hint of oak, soapy dry finish. Clean, decent and pretty crap. Goes for the pub, too.
