Easy Rider is a subtle easy drinking premium strength pale ale. The initial crisp bitterness gently gives way to a lingering fruity aftertaste.

A bit bland, with some green hop character, but not much else of note. Rather thin. This is apparently a weaker version of Pale Rider for those who don’t want 5% alcohol in a quaffing beer. Unfortunately, much of the character seems to have been sacrificed too. Tastes as if it has been simply watered down. Cask (gravity), Catford Beer Festival.

Golden coloured. Very hoppy aroma. Hoppy and fresh flavour with a dry and bitter finish. Refreshing.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2005 24/2/04 -Hand pulled at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham (during their week-long real ale promotion). Golden appearance, with no real aroma. Creamy, tasty ale, with a slight hop taste. Rather undramatic - gulp after gulp. Creamy head and likewise the lacing. Uncomplex. [2.2]. RE-RATE, 28/3/05 - Hand pulled at the Fountain, Lower Gornal, Black Country. Nice lemony bitter, with a balanced, soft quality. Not too aggressive, but nicely flavoured and swiggable hoppiness. Much better today than when previosuly smapled. [3.5]

Cask Conditioned at The Anchor, Birmingham. Yellow beer with thin head. This is a thin watery tasting beer with little flavour to speak of, there is a strong green hop to pull it along though, which rescues it from really low scores.

[Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2003] The aroma is a nice slight hoppy one. The color is yellow and it has a small bubbly head. The flavor is slightly malty with a strong hop presence and straw flavors and notes of fruits. A nice pale ale.

Pale golden with a fruity, flowery aroma. Frutiy flavour with apple. Unfortunately way too thin to be really great.

Cask Conditioned, at The Rover, Göteborg. Pale golden. A hint of apple in the aroma. Vanilla and grapefruit notes in the flavor. Floral and perfume-like hoppiness. A mild and pleasant bitter finish.

Very light yellow color, decent frothy, milky white head. Citric tang in aroma and flavor--nicely hopped, grapefruit, tangerine--lovely. A slightly quick finish with a little bitterness. Smooth, almost flat but not unreasonable in net effect. An enjoyable beer. (on tap, Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford)

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms,
The band kicks up again and Dave gets me on the program. This was the next beer in line. Very light, transparent gold colour, looks like a stationary larger (no moving bubbles). Then with a few sips to half way the lacy telltale signs of ale show through. Forward fruity aroma, floral, rose background. Plump mouth feel, cloying. Very good beer but it was going quickly. 2 of 7.
