In bottle. Pours a deep ruby - brown colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Similar chocolate and caramel flavours with a distracting sake yeast character. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle. Oily mouth-feel. Not really my thing.

14th April 2010. Clear dark brown beer. Gentle dark malt and faint chocolate on the nose. Light palate - a little dry. Darl malt with traces of molassess and licorice. Nicely balanced by an underlying fruitiness - sublte cherry and plum. Finishes dry. Nice enough.
