UPDATED: APR 20, 2010 Bottle from Arden Wines. Reddish amber with a white slick. Caramelised boiled sweet aroma with lemon and peardrop hints; tea leaf as it warms. Dabs of sherbet, toffee malts, orange/apple fruit. Abrupt nuttiness. Feels a bit dead and papery; nowt to be proud of, but OK.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are dusty with green apple and citrus. Prickly hops with light biscuit. Flavours are biscuit malts with lightly sour citrus and a dry finish. Not much going on.

Cask, gravity, at 7th Devonshire Arms Beer Festival, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Faint aroma of leafy, nettly hop. Sharp sour taste with hops to the fore. I found this a bit drab and depressing, possibly because the festival was outside and it was a drizzly grey day.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig & Pen Northampton. A golden beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma is hoppy but there’s a hint of apple. The taste is nice and hoppy. Some citrus notes, probably oranges. Tastes better than it smells.

Caskl in Blackfriars. Again another hazy beer from these guys but tasted great. Aroma is honey sweetness and citrus and grassy hops. Taste is similar very tasty, however not as clean as id have liked it due to its hazyness.

Cask at the Horse and Groom, New Basford, Nottingham. I found this golden beer to be fairly unremarkable. It was refreshing and enjoyable but had only a faint hop aroma and a flavour to match.
