A classic Irish Style Brew with a mild hop flavor. This medium bodied ale is slightly sweet and very easy to drink. Its smooth red color is made by adding dark caramel malt to the brew.

Everything I dislike about Irish reds: thin, no sub-flavors, and a wicked grainy finish like a mouthfull of grass. I wish I could detect the notes that whaleman picks up, because that would have helped it for me.

Amber-brown body and silky off-white head that faded. Rich caramel nose with a burnt phenolic note plus butterscotch. Flavor is of over-caramelized malt, a strong grapey fruity quality, and mild diacetyl. Very little hop character.

Pours reddish brown with a thin head. Lightly smokey with a touch of chocolate. Thin finish but a decent brew.
