Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2006
(On tap) Clear, reddish brown beer with a small, off-white head. Incredibly light aroma of roasted malt. Medium-bodied with a good, malty feel and a note of rum. No real bitterness. 060406

pineypower (1827) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - NOV 5, 2004
On tap in Feb of 04 from notes. Reddish amber color with a small fading head. Malty aroma and taste with slight nots of caramel and a mild hop finish. Average, but pretty good while sitting in 80 degree weather under a palm tree

Amber color, slightly malty. Caramel in the taste. Yet another dull amber ale.

Had on tap at Kelly's on 9-17-03. Came out a deep reddish brown with a small tan head. Slightly malted and nutty aroma, which carries over to the tongue. Add hops and a slightly bitter finish. Refreshing but not overly complex. Good beer.

Blake (396) - Orange, California, USA - AUG 31, 2003
Had on tap at Kelly's, Key West, FL on August 6th, 2003
The Havana Red is their flagship ale and for good reason - it's by far their best beer, but not on par with other beer offerings. It has a good red coloring to it with no head and no lacing. The beer is much more flavorful than the Golden Ale and the Wheat, but still, not anything to write home about. Strong alcohol presence and aftertaste.
