2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rosenbergh (3495) - Helsinki, - JUL 26, 2011
Draught at the Fette Sau, Brooklyn, NY. Served in a pickle jar.
Hazy yellow orange colour with small white head.
Unfortunately I couldn’t smell anything since the place smelled like smokehouse. Wheat Ale. Some dryness, some spices and wheat in flavour. Some dry spicyness in aftertaste. Not the worst American Witbier.

Slightly hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Sticky, slightly tart, grassy aroma. Light-bodied. Crisp, some citrus, fruity but weak flavor. Dry coriander finish.

Draft at fette sau with ling. Pours a cloudy, hazy yellow body with some white creamy lacing. Aroma is wheat, and lemon zest - similar to a hoegarrden. Mouthfeel is thinner and flavor is a bit watered down with similar notes of lemon zest, yeast and wheat.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JoeMcPhee (6969) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2011
Very cloudy pale yellow pour with a thick, tight head. The nose is softly lemony and wheaty. There is a bit of coriander, but it seems to have been used with a restrained hand. A little bit of light orange peel and a very unpleasant vegetal flavour. Sort of floury with a bit of light wheatiness. Yeasty and bready. It’s okay but kind of bland. Needed to be boiled a bit more aggressively to blow off some of that DMS. It moderates as you go through the pint, but it’s always there.

Draft. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Wheaty aroma with a light sweetness. The flavor is wheaty with a yeasty banana-like fruitiness. Decent.

Tap at Sweet Afton. Pours a hazy pineapple-orange with moderate white head. Faint bavarian aroma with a touch of banana, a hint of yeast, and little of anything else. Tough to decipher since it is so faint. Flavor is similar: pleasant but faint notes of banana and yeast. The slight spice may have been in my imagination. Nice moderately creamy body, but the flavor fades quickly. What’s there is pleasant, but there isn’t a lot there.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Barnaby (22) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - NOV 26, 2009
Great smell, sweet and almost tropical. Looks like yer standard wit, a manilla color with a light, foamy head. Extremely drinkable & refreshing. I tasted a hint of banana and spice which made the beer flavor seem complex. Made me want to try other Kelso brews.

Draft. Pours a hazy golden body with a white head. Wheat, lemon grass, banana and bubblegum. Grain husk and a sweet and banana lemon finish. Eh.
