Draft. tasted side by side with Petrus Oud Bruin and Bockor Belegems Oud Bruin. You might say it’s an unfair comparison, but I don’t care - this one won, hands down. Nice, consistent sourness that didn’t overwhelm, but didn’t need the artificial sweetness or unbalanced bitterness of the others. It also showed off the oak, without the oak overwhelming the beer. Very nice example of the style.

Keg at Brouwerij Lane, Brooklyn. With Seth. Pours clear ruby with a light, white head. Nice tart fruit nose. Mild sour flavor, some tart berries, light sweetness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Crisp and tart finish, mild fruits, berries and cherries. Very nice beer with good balance and restrained tartness.

Draft in a snifter. No head. Pleasant tart lactic aroma with vanilla overtones. The body is very light and the initial sweet & sour quickly fades to a tiny hoppy pucker.

Bottle thanks to someone at Sourfest. Pours with a hazed orange to red body and an off-white head. Aromas are vinous, sour, vinegar, red wine, light dark fruit esters. Flavors are of red wine, vinous, earthy, dark cherries, dirt, soil, woody and dry. Medium bubbles with a decent amount of acid in the finish.

C&C bottle at Stone sour ale fest. Red/brown pour, with a white head. Sour cherries, bread, acidic, slight earthiness, oak, and leather. It’s alright. Glad to try it, but not the best sour.

tap at barcade - Nice red pour with fluffy white head. Aroma of cherries, fruits, citrus. Body is sweet with lots of berries and cherries, tart lactic acid, adding to the impression of fruit. Caramel malts. Finishes odd with some dry cardboard and green pepper notes. Otherwise, tasty.
