A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of butterscotch with fruity malt and light acidity, strange. In mouth, a sweet oxidized malt with light coriander, curacao, very sweet... Oh well. Sampler at Battle of the Belgians at Jimmys 43.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a hazy golden color, vibrant color with a stark, frothy white head. Aroma was smoky bundles of grains, with a salt undertone. Flavor was light salty smoke, some earthy notes. Liked the body, but wish it was a bit less smoky.

On tap at Churchkey. Wonderful smoked malt aroma, a little acrid and meaty. Hazy medium amber with frothy white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with big smoky flavors. Mild wheat and light hop notes. Bitter sweet smoky finish with nice smoky after. A little watery.

Tap at stagshead. pours gold with white foamy head. not a particularly strong smelling brew but odd. Its certainly salty and minerally, you get some boiled ham flavors and a bit of dirty estuary water. brackish? some hops but this is a strange odd concoction.

Pours a burnt orange in a dimly lit room. The flavor is dominated by saltiness. instead of sweet or bitter, ocean water comes to mind. The aroma is rather smoky with some notes of nail polish.

Draft at blind tiger..golden/ copper color..almost no head at all..definite smoky nose..charcoal and smoke..a strange hybrid of styles that seems to be rauchbier dominant..other styles are overpowered..the salt presence is a bit strange and this offering is clearly one of the more interesting samples in a while..memorable for the uniqueness..not really much else..
