nhorween (491), New York, New York, USA May 10, 2008 Growler from Bierkraft. I’m not sure I’m happy about having an entire growler of this... Clear, pale amber pour with a thin white head. Clean on the nose - hops in the background, with clean malt. Smells earthy in the way a rainy day does. Flavor is well rounded and crisp, but I don’t like the aftertaste and finish. Toast and hops. The finish is tinny. Would be really easy to drink if it wasn’t for the metallic note. Despite all that, this is still a solid pilsener.
golubj (951), Redwood City, California, USA Mar 6, 2008 Draft at the airport. Amber pour with medium sized head. Aroma was english malt with a little pine / earthy hops. Flavor was the same, but the hops were somewhat metallic. The hops also gave it a little bit of a citrus aspect, but overall it wasn’t very good. I don’t like it when beers just seem like a dry-hopped version of a mediocre beer. goldtwins (3683), Nesconset, New York, USA Sep 8, 2007 Poured a glowing copper with a medium off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with some earthy hop. The flavor is citrus and seems tart. Caramel and toasty finish with a moderate bitterness and dryness. mkobes (2022), New York, USA Jul 11, 2007 On tap at the brewerys opening. Hazy copper in color with a white head. Citrus, earthy hoppy aroma. Malty and hoppy flavor. Creamy tasting. Smooth. Crisp and refreshing. Drinkable. PilsnerPeter (1347), Flushing, New York, USA May 6, 2007 Tap at the brewery’s opening: Hazy orangey copper pour with a thin white head. Has a great creamy body. Flavor has evident crystal malt notes with lots of earthiness. Smooth hoppyness, with a generous amount of toasty maltyness to give it the creamy texture. A solid earthy Pilsener.
