Tap at Rattle N Hum. Hazy golden pour. Thick, pillowy sticky head. The nose is quite piny and resinous with a touch of light citrus. Very bright sticky hop nose. Tooth-coating hop oils and a nice sticky hop character. Really quite fresh. The malts are definitely here but they don’t really interfere with the hops at all. As it warms up the hops fade a little bit leaving a more juicy orange-citrus from behind the bright pine resin. Nice, solid well-crafted IPA

On draught. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit with some pine notes as well. The flavor is light malt with a solid dose of grapefruit and just a little bit of pine. Moderate-strong bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. No problems.

Druaght at nitehawk cinema. Poured - well, it was the cinema so it was dark. but tasted like a standard good IPA.

Tap at a modern Mexican restaurant in Astoria. Pours bronze with a rocky white head. Aroma has a strong floral hops presence. Flavor has the same floral goodness with some honey. Moderately strong bite with lots of flowers, perfume, and honey. This was perfect with the duck and pollack tacos I had with it.

Cask at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn NY on 20th July 2011. Hazy gold with thin lacing film. Fruity, hoppy yeasty aroma, then plenty of grapefruit in mouth, smoothish mouthfeel and bitter grapefruit finish. Good fairly easy drinking American IPA.

Draught at the Mugs Ale House, Brooklyn, NY.
Hazy yellow golden colour with small white head. Malty grainy aroma with citrusy hops and mild bitterness. Flavour is grainy malty and dry hoppy. Bitter fruity aftertaste. Not bad.

On draft at Good Beer. It is a resiny, slightly green IPA, and not that fragrant. A good brew all around.

Tap at Graziellie’s. Pours is dirty, clear blonde, sickly urine color with a rocky, medium thickness white head. Sheety lace. Fairly dank fruity hop nose. Odd characters come out like jackfruit and tropical melons- maybe not super fresh and bright but certainly there is some Nelson Sauvin character. Taste is super bitter: big pine, melon rinds, massive sweet melons, something odd and meaty like durian. Very dry and almost buttery to near chalky on the palate. Bitter melon rinds. Coating mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation. As I drink this more I simply do not like it. The palate is just so soapy, buttery, coating, and harsh with carbonation. The hops are adding astringency and not really much fresh fruit and balance.

Saloon (?) tap ($6): Pours an amber color with white head. Pine, pine, and more pine. Taste is similar to aroma. Got the pine and citrus, with minimal malts. Reminds me of Greenpoint’s Heartland Indiana Pale Ale, which I tried once. One would think they are the same beer although they apparently have different alcohol levels. In any case, not my thing, just too piny and tastes like medicine or something like that.
