4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler filled at Beer Boutique in Brooklyn. A really thick IPA. Hides its 11.5% pretty well. Lots of pine and resin but with a nice sweetness youíd expect from the ABV. Would get it again.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at The Strand Smokehouse in Queens. #1600 as it happens. Deep orange, awesome aroma of thick hops. Resinous pine, sweet bittering. Nice carbonation on a big beer. Quite tasty and well put together.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at pony bar HK with Linh. Pours an amber body with no head. Aroma is fresh pine hop and light bitter citrus (grapefruit). Mouthfeel is medium with notes of citrus, pine, sweet honey drizzled grapefruit and some booze. This is just on the verge of being awesome. I feel like if they dry hopped and dialed back the alcohol this would be Kelsoís top offering. Still, solid but just a touch cloying.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the Stagshead. Pours amber brown with nice enough aromas of sweet hops. tastes lightly hoppy, malty, caramel, and citrus. warm boozy finish but unfortunately this was so cloyingly sweet on palate that i had trouble finishing it.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler from Good Beer. Aromatic, resiny aroma with a lot of juicy hop sweetness. Dark brass colored pour. A sticky and nicely balanced IIPA, with pine, herb, and caramel flavors. The penetrating aroma lingers in the glass after the liquid is gone. Really, really good, the best thing Iíve had from Kelso. Deserves a higher rating.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at City Swiggers, NYC. Cheers, Sander! Pours rich, ruby-gold with a frothy, white head. Big pine and ripe citrus aroma. Big sweet flavor, heavily resinous with more pine, ripe grapefruit. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with lots of sticky sugars, pine, berries. Not bad. It isnít a subtle DIPA by any means, but it gets the job done.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Lucky Dog, Brooklyn tap ($5): Pours light brown with an off-white head. Aroma is perfectly fine: citrus, pine, and caramel malt. I have, however, a problem with the taste. This is pretty cloyingly sweet. If you like beers that taste like sugar balls, then this beer is perfect for you. There was not enough hop character. I am really not like this beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught. Pours a hazy golden amber with a moderate linen white head. Deeper gold than their regular IPA, which I had prior to this beer. Pleasant aroma of malt and caramel with orange and grapefruit. The flavor is similar, but also brings in a little resinous pine sweetness. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium-full bodied. No problems.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great DIPA, lots of citrus and pine, masks the really high alcohol content well. I mean its a strong one. Iíve had a few too many pours of this from time to time, but I keep coming back.
