Pours a burnt orange with a frothy white head. I could smell one the moment the glass hit the bar. Dense notes of pine, spruce, grass, heavy grapefruit and resin. The flavor is intently bitter, but not overwhelming. The alcohol is present, but well masked. The body is a bit thin.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 beerbill (2939) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAY 6, 2012
On draught. Pours a hazy golden amber with a moderate linen white head. Deeper gold than their regular IPA, which I had prior to this beer. Pleasant aroma of malt and caramel with orange and grapefruit. The flavor is similar, but also brings in a little resinous pine sweetness. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium-full bodied. No problems.

Great DIPA, lots of citrus and pine, masks the really high alcohol content well. I mean its a strong one. I’ve had a few too many pours of this from time to time, but I keep coming back.

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a lightly hazed golden amber with a medium to large white head that falls steadily. Sweet malt and toast, light hops. Medium bodied, sweet citrus, smooth toast. Big slow bitterness. Very gentle, light warmth. Overall a rather muted and subdued double IPA.

The aroma is piss, flowers, sme caramel. Gold in color, white head, slighlty hazy. The flavor is much more floral, stronger caramel backbone, some citrus. The finish is mostly flowers, some citrus. Medium in body. Not bad.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bmerz (233) - New York, USA - FEB 26, 2012
P.S. i am literally burping up cat piss hops half an hour later. Dang! Draught, within an hour of being tapped. Lovely golden with fabulous lace. The aroma is a powerful hop bomb of ripe tropical fruit, a little pine, a good dose of cat pis, and some grapefruit. Taste mirrors this with ample sugars and some pretty biting bitterness and cloying sweetness and intense hop funk. Body is full with soft carbonation with mouthwatering funk that lasts and lasts. Holy hops. Kelso is the best brewery in this city and this is a great example. There is nothing balanced about it gives any west coast hop bomb a run for its money.

On tap. Pours with a golden orange hued body with a fully lasting, white head that leaves solid lace. Aromas are hoppy, spicy, citrus, pine, grassy, with minimal malt character but a mild fusel note. Flavors are boozy, citrus, tangerine. Thankfully decently dry but there is an odd note of rubber cement. Medium bubbles, medium to fuller bodied. Very warming.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blipp (3920) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - NOV 4, 2011
Cask, dry hopped with citra and nugget. Pours orange with a thin head. Floral hoppy aroma with light citrus notes. The flavor has bitter florals, pale malts, a light sweetness, and light citric notes. Not bad. I’m gonna have to give this one another taste given its good ratings so far and the fact that my friend also loved it.
