Gravity cask at Spuyten Duyvil. Cloudy gold pour shows no pink or evidence of fruit. Strong, wet malt aroma has a fair bit of fresh strawberry. Nice fruitiness up front in the flavor leads to a mild, lightly malty body with a leafy, herbal finish. Pleasing and gentle if just a bit indistinct. This could’ve used a lot more strawberries to really drive the point home. As it is it’s kind of in that nowhere land between two styles where more of either one would greatly strengthen the beer.
