Hazy orange beer - moderate lace - yeasty aroma, with wheaty tang, clove, some earthy, musty character, and hints of orange and lemon - spicy and peppery up front, with some biscuity malt behind it - a little bit of sweetness, but it mostly stays quite dry, and almost dusty - very rustic, almost funky light earthy character - ends with some herbal notes, pineapple and peach - long lingering peppery hops and a touch of chalky mineral notes - quite a nice beer

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Hazy/cloudy golden beer with a light orange-red highlights. Thick and creamy. The aroma is lightly dusty and fruity. Peaches and apricot and even a hint of wildness. Apricot and soft fruity aroma. Pale Belgian malt, lightly earthy and dank with a bit of lemon and orange peel. Cobwebby and lightly basementy. Itís a nice brew and I hope to see it around regularly.

sheatripper (863) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Draught at Brazen Head. Cloudy amber/orange pour with a minimal head. Has a bit of a cough drop aroma--herbal and citrus-- with a dry medicinal/cottonball note. Flavor of light caramel and biscuity/bready malts with floral notes, grass, herbs, and marmalade. Raggy, funky dryness on the finish, or as JMcP below described, "basementy." Nice change of pace from this barís typical threadbare offerings.

Tap at Barcade. Copper brown, cloudy pour. Completely unfiltered. Bready, clove, yeast aroma. Bubblegum as well. A touch of sugar up front in the flavor with a very dry middle and finish. Chalky and grainy, horsy harmhouse flavors. Lemony and quite nice.

PilsnerPeter (3028) - Flushing, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2008
Tap at Barcade: Pours a hazy deep golden with dense white head. Lots of Belgian phenolics in the aroma- just a touch of sweet yeastiness as well as a bread crust note. Creamy feel, with a straight forward flavor. Spicy orange peel and peppery Belgian phenolics. Has a nice yeast presence overall- not overly sweet or with that bubblegum that many American interpretations of Belgians have. Definitely feels Belgian, and is very solid.
